PART 1

"I said BEND!" He roared, his voice echoed into the open road entrance of the Serendipity high school.

The next second every cadet went down on their limbs. Groans of unease, and discomfort were heard, one of the boys looked up and said, "Bhai, forgive us yaar!"

"5 mins, you all will bend." The cadets had their eyes widened. Another boy started, "Oh captain listen-"

"10 minutes." He said. His eyes blank as he moved through the sea of bent cadets. A girl tried, "Hey pl-"

"15 minutes." He said, no trace of emotions on his face. The JW-Junior wing or girls cadet commander tried, "Bhai listen-"

"20 minutes." The JD-Junior Division or boys cadet Commander extended further. The very following second no words were heard. The JD commander's corner of the lips twisted slightly into a faint smirk.

The unpleasant murmurs of the cadets were heard in the open area, adding a terrible grace to the NCC unit. The commander's voice echoed, "Aye! Baat-chit!"

"Aye! Talking!"

Everyone ducked their head down and shut their mouths, not wanting a further extension of the punishment. The ANO, Vyashali Rawat came, she looked at everyone with her eyes filled with a done look.

"Get up everyone." Vyashali said, all of them sighed in relief and stood up, groaning and stretching their limbs.

"Jungkook, take everyone's name from your juniors. Class 8th." Vyashali said, Jeon Jungkook-The JD commander nodded.

"Jai hind mam!" He bounced once on his toes, a respectful gesture cadets show to their seniors or trainers. Vyashali nodded and said, "After that make them do, line-tod (break the line) and leave them."

"Yes Mam." Jungkook said, walking towards the junior of class 8th. He turned towards the senior group hearing hushed laughter, and whispers. He shouted, "Aye! Sawdhan position mai ho tum log?!"

"Aye! You all are in attention position?!"

Silence.

The way silence filled the surrounding that even it disagreed that these cadets were sincere.

"Line tod!" Jungkook commanded.

"Break the line!"

All of them took their right foot forward in 90 degrees, same with the left taking steps forward, turned right with a jerk, bounced on their toes and shouted together, "JAI HIND SIR!"

"It's almost time, go." Jungkook said, turning back to the juniors taking their names.

A girl wearing the same navy blue tracksuit with red and ice blue lines running down the arms and legs from sides stood with a pout filled with annoyance on her lips. The other girls wearing the same groaned and said, "Kya samjhta woh khud ko?!"

"What does he think of himself."

"Wahi na, ugh! I already hate him! Jaise ANO khud hi ho." Said the pouting girl. The other hummed and said, her eyes looking back, "Taehyung, tere papa!"

"That only na, ugh! I already hate him! As if he himself is the ANO."

Kim Taehyung-a NCC cadet, looked back and nodded, "Bye Yeonjun!"

Choi Yeonjun-her best friend smiled and nodded. Tae walked to her father holding the bag on her right shoulder, her shoulder slumped down dramatically. Her father-Kim Yichan chuckled and asked, "Kya hua?"

"What happened!"

"Kya nahi hua, papa?!" Tae said dramatically. Her eyes wide as she gestured exaggeratedly and said, "That boy Commander, what was his name? I don't remember. He thinks of himself as what I don't know! Papa, my limbs are hurting!"

"What not happened, Papa?!"

Yichan laughed and took the bag from her, Tae walked along with him pouting dramatically. Yichan said, "Chalo, tumhe mai chhat khilata hun."

"Let's go, and eat chaat."

"Sacchi?!" Tae asked with her eyes filled with delightness as her lips curved into a wide smile. Yichan nodded, he asked, "Waise ab kab hai practice class?"

"Really?!"

"And now when the practices will resume?"

"Nah, not anymore. Monday ko Promotion day hai toh ab se direct 9th mai janeke baad practices suru hongi." Tae said, Yichan hummed.

"Nah, not anymore. Monday is promotion day, so now directly after 9th all the practices will start."

Jungkook walked towards his bag, took it, slinging it over his right shoulder looking at the name list. Sweat running down his forehead, his friend-Choi Soobin walked towards him.

Jungkook looked up at the panting male and his lips curled into a faint indulgence smirk. Soobin walked towards him and punched his back, Jungkook laughed. Soobin said with gritted teeth, "Saale tujhe toh bade maze arahe the!"

"Basta'ds, you were enjoying it a lot!"

"Haan toh? Baat karne kisne kaha tha?" Jungkook said, smiling with a tease. Soobin groaned and said, "I was just asking about Taehyun ki banda kiyu nahi aya Aaj!"

"Yeah, so? Who told you all to talk?"

"I was just asking about Taehyun. Why didn't he come?"

"Uski crush absent thi." Jungkook said as a matter of factly, looking at the names. Soobin groaned and said, "Bhai usse kaise pata chala?!"

"His Crush was absent."

"Bro how did he knew?"

Jungkook shrugged, clearly enjoying Soobin's brain rotting. Jungkook turned and saw Vyashali, he walked to her and said, "Mam all the names are written here but it would be much better if we re-check on the first day of the new session. As some of them are extra and we need to select the ones to be removed."

Vyashali hummed, she took the paper and said, "Ok, go."

"Thank you, Jai Hind!" Jungkook bounced again and walked to Soobin who was already checking his mobile under his bag, Jungkook asked, "Kya kar raha hai?"

"What are you doing?"

"Teri biwi ko patta raha hoon." Soobin said, not even looking up. Jungkook rolled his eyes and said, "Bolega."

"I'm impressing your wife."

"Will you say?"

"Insta par baat kar raha tha, NCC group par. Sab teri buraiya kare ja rahe hai." Soobin grinned, Jungkook sighed. He muttered, "They do something themselves to receive punishment and then make me the villian."

"I was talking on Instagram, NCC group chat. All are cursing you."

"Bhai, you should be a little soft in drills." Soobin said, his lips curling into a half smile as his eyes twinkled with mischief. Jungkook stared at him for a brief second, with no trace of emotions, he added, "Drill grounds don't ask for emotions. It needs discipline."

Soobin rolled his eyes, dramatically bounced and said, "Ji Saab!"

Jungkook chuckled, he swung his arm around Soobin's shoulder and said, "Chal, thoda ghum ke aate hai."

"Let's go, and wander around."

Soobin stared at him for a brief moment, as if studying his entire being. He let out a mocking chuckle and said, "Kon kahega ki tu hi woh strict JD commander hai."

"Who will say that you are the strict JD commander?"

"Dekh Bhai, life jaisi bhi ho, masti nahi rukhni chaiye. Chal full speed mai highway pe drive karenge!" Jungkook said with a grin, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Listen bro, life is however, fun shouldn't stop. Let's go and drive on the highway at full speed,!"

"Maiko teri gf wali feeling kiyu arahi hai." Soobin squinted his eyes. Jungkook grinned, clearly mischievous now, he said, "bro, tu toh meri luggai jaisa dost hai."

"I'm feeling like your gf."

"Bro, you are my wife type of friend."

Soobin made a vomiting sound, and said, "Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, teri niyaat hi kharab hai!"

"Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, your intentions are bad!"

Jungkook laughed, and they started walking out. The gates of the Serendipity high school went closed. Jungkook pulled out his black activa keys and sat on it, Soobin sat behind him and said, "Toh promotion day ka kya khayal hai?"

"So what about promotion day?"

"Just random like always. Shuffling of the students. First month in adjusting and all." Jungkook shrugged his shoulders, and started the vehicle. Soobin hummed and said, "Tune dating ke bareme socha?"

"You thought about dating?"

Jungkook's expressions twisted into an annoyance, he said with a groan, "Bro listen."

"I don't want to date now, you all take dates for fun. First of all, this is not our age to date. And I believe in the date to the marriage phase. So please, shut this question now." Jungkook finished.

Soobin hummed, he said, "Yeah, but any crush like I have that on Yeonjun."

"That enthusiastic extrovert girl?" Jungkook asked and Soobin nodded. Jungkook hummed and said, "Not really. I just found all the girls alike, no special ring in my heart."

"Sanskari banda!" Soobin grinned. Jungkook rolled his eyes as he took a turn towards the highway, he said, "Kas ke pakad."

"Cultured guy!"

"Hold tightly."

Soobin held him from behind as Jungkook put on the speed and their lips stretched into a wide smile as the cool air grazed them. Soobin said, "Tez tez tez!!!"

"Fast fast fast!!!"

Jungkook did, they were in between two trucks, their laughter echoing. Soobin pulled out his mobile, turned on the camera and started making a video, "Taehyun, bish you missed this!"

Jungkook laughed and looked at the camera for a second and said, "Bad luck bro!"

Soobin hit the button and sent it to Taehyun and said, "Taehyun ki jalegi."

"Taehyun will be jealous."

The friends grinned and high-fived. Jungkook parked the black activa in the home yard and swung his leg up. He started walking towards the entrance while whistling and twisting the keys on his pointer index, looking whole of a nonchalant.

"Kaha tha itni der?" His mother-Jeon Eunyoo asked, her hands folded on her chest. Jungkook froze, he smiled nervously and said, "Soobin ke saath."

"Where were you this late?"

"With Soobin."

"Accha, such a good boy Soobin is." Eunyoo said with a smile and walked inside. Jungkook's mouth fell open as he let out a mocking faint smirk, as he mimicked "Such a good boy he is."

"What did you say?" Jungkook's eyes widened, he rushed inside and said, "Kuch nahi!"
